The Web is arguably an arbiter of change and constant evolution in a number of areas, and fashion is no exception. So where better to keep up with the constant changes than on the Web itself? There are a number of sites devoted to trends and trend-setting that will help you keep up with, or at least keep track of, the latest styles and trends.
Women.com's Fashion page is quite the resource for the trend-conscious. Do you like Catherine Zeta-Jones' look? Women.com's Fashion site will tell you exactly how to steal -- I mean, copy -- her style. It also has interesting articles about recent trends and developments in fashion and entertainment, and links to magazine articles from a wide array of genres, all dedicated to keeping you up on the ever-changing world of fashion. Where else can you find "tips for selecting the perfect pencil skirt?" And lest you think the site shallow, it also has a reader poll where you can cast your vote for such questions as "If plastic surgery were free, would you do it?" Never let it be said that this site lacks substance.
Fashion Planet is another trend tracker -- and one whose entire purpose is to keep up on all things cool. With that only purpose in mind, Fashion Planet scours the globe to find anything and everything fashionable and worthy of note. Keep in mind, Fashion Planet caters to an upscale crowd, so expect to see names like Cartier, Hermes, Louis Vuitton and Christofle. If these names don't scare you away, you can count on some amazing fashion and style advice -- and even find some travel advice for the trendiest and most exotic vacations. Clicking on the What's New link will take you to a laundry list of trends, each of which you can click on for more information. Fashion Planet's trends include a cataloguing of new fragrances, clips from fashion shows (and hence the latest looks) and a look at the new style of the coming Millenium. At times the site does feel a bit like a big advertisement, but these days, what doesn't?
Women's Wire is nowhere near as "chic" as Fashion Planet, but not to worry. Women's Wire has everything you could ever want to know about what's going on this season. Clicking on the Fashion Plate site will take you to something of your very own fashion and trend advice column -- where you can not only read questions that other Web surfers have asked in regard to style, but can actually pose your own questions about trends. And most importantly, Women's Wire monitors trends and the like for the average woman -- including the newest trends for work looks.
So keep the trends at your fingertips by checking out these sites. You'll be the most up-to-date fashion victim on the block.
